3 dead, 1 missed as car plunges into river

BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): Three people including two womeninfo-icon were killed when a car fell into a river in Shebar district of central Bamyan province on Monday, a local official said.

Mohammad Azim Fareed, district’s administrative chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the accident happened in Doabi Bolola area in the outskirts of Shebar district this morning.

 “The car was heading from the capital Kabulinfo-icon to Tala wa Barfak district of Baghlan province when the car plunged into river,” he said, blaming the accident to recklessness of the driver.

Two women and a man were killed and a child was missed in river water in the incident, Fareed said. However, he added the rescue team immediately arrived to the accident area and rescued two children and a man from the river.

Mohammad Ali, an eyewitness, said the water carried the bus about 100 meters away from the area where it was fallen. He said the rescue team was looking for the disappeared child in the river.
