Security forces among 35 dead in Paktika offensive

SHARAN (Pajhwok): Four security personnel and 31 Talibaninfo-icon have been killed during clashes in the Urgon and Gayan districts of southeastern Paktika province, an official said on Wednesday.

Deputy Police Chief Col. Dadullah Khan Hotak told Pajhwok Afghan News two policemen, as many soldiers and 31 Taliban have been killed in security forces offensive in Urgon and Gayan districts in the past two days.

Brg. Gen. Raham Del Khan, the 203rd Tandar Military Corp infantry commander, said Afghan Air Force assisted security forces on the ground during the offensive and successfully completed.

The Taliban have not yet commented about security forces operations.
